Sponsor a Child

Meet some of the children you can help

These are just some of the children who desperately require your support. They have all lost one or both parents. We believe that every child deserves education, safety and love and our child sponsorship programme provides hope for a more secure future.

If you decide you want to sponsor a child, simply contact Lily and we will tell you about the children who need your support. We ask you to commit to a minimum monthly donation of £10pm for a child aged 0-5 (or contribute to the fees for a school aged child),  £25 for a child aged 6 -12 years, and £30 for a child aged 13-18 years, for as long as you can. There is no financial contract, we understand that life can change and we will endeavour to find another sponsor for your child if you can no longer help us.

The sponsorship money covers the educational costs for the child and provides food or medicine when needed. Some sponsors feel able to sponsor two children.  Some of our sponsors share the cost between two friends or family members.

All the Lily children have lost their fathers, some their mothers too; your sponsorship ensures that your child will receive the care and education that many of us take for granted, transforming their life.

Once you have committed and chosen a child we will provide you with their story, a photo or video message from the child or their mother, and we’ll update you once a year with a photographic or video message from them.

Children often like to receive a photo of their sponsor or sponsor’s family, this can be very important to them. Lily will do our best to keep you informed and we will always tell it as it is.

Post to Congo is unreliable, so at Christmas, if you wish, we can send a small cash gift which will be used to provide an extra gift of food or toys for the children. When you send a message or gift your child will know that someone somewhere cares about them.

As we are a small charity, and our trustees are volunteers, we can guarantee that every penny of your sponsorship goes to the children you sponsor every month.
