A Child's Story

Under Colonial rule native Congolese people were barred from all positions of authority. One consequence was

that when Congo achieved independence in 1960, there were NO native doctors, nurses, teachers or lawyers.

That colonial legacy has cast a long shadow: Kapinga Matuka was sponsored since she was a baby; now she is ready to study Law -  all she needs are the funds for her fees, books and living expenses, only about £1,000 a year in total. There is simply no way  she can raise this much money in The Congo. If you could help to start Kapinga at university  please let us know. You will be giving so much more than just the gift of hope.

Kapinga is not the only young adult from our community who can't afford to go to university.

If you or someone you know can help to send one of the Lily children to university please contact us.

We guarantee that every penny you donate will go to that child's education
